Classes Offered
Based in San Pedro, Ladybug Music South Bay offers joyful music classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, along with their caregivers. We welcome families from across the South Bay, including San Pedro, the PV Peninsula, Torrance, Redondo, and Lomita.
Baby Classes
(Infant - 12 months)
Our baby classes gently introduce little ones to rhythm, movement, and bonding, making them the perfect first step in the Ladybug Music journey.
Mixed Age
(Infant - 5yrs)
A joyful, interactive musical experience where babies, toddlers, and preschoolers learn together, making it an ideal class for siblings and a natural progression as your child continues with Ladybug Music.
All classes require one adult caretaker to participate

Tuition prorated for late registrations
Included with registration: Access to our Ladybug Music App and original class music. You’ll receive a code to unlock this season’s songs so you can listen at home or in the car.

Meet the Teachers
Shana Ghekiere
Director/Teacher
Shana Ghekiere is the Director and a teacher at Ladybug Music South Bay, bringing decades of experience supporting young children and their caregivers as a camp song leader, kindergarten teacher, baby sign language educator, and playful mom of two. She loves how Ladybug Music blends movement, rhythm, and connection to help little ones grow through joyful, music-centered learning. When she’s not teaching, Shana is practicing yoga, walking her dog, cooking for loved ones, or diving into a great book.
Helena Ghekiere
Teacher
Helena Ghekiere is a teacher at Ladybug Music South Bay who brings joyful, engaging music experiences to children and families. She draws on her experience teaching preschool, toddler ballet, and guitar, along with her background in musical theatre, dance, and singing. Having taken classes similar to Ladybug Music as a toddler herself, Helena has seen firsthand the powerful impact music can have on early development and meaningful connection. Outside of teaching, she enjoys nannying, songwriting, and spending time with friends and family.
Our Studio
Our Ladybug Music South Bay classes are hosted in a beautiful studio surrounded by local shops and artisanal cafes—perfect for grabbing a treat or exploring the neighborhood before or after class!
Take a stroll down Harbor Blvd and see the USS Iowa or visit the Fire Station, only a couple of blocks away!

Registration is required for all enrollments and trial classes.
Two adults are always welcome to attend with your child.

Try a class for $35 before enrolling.
Select “Try a Class” during registration.
Trial classes are subject to availability.

Up to 2 make-ups per session, space permitting.
Make-ups do not roll over to another session.
Missed trial classes are subject to availability.

Cancellations before the session begins incur a $25 cancellation fee.
All session tuition and registration fees are non-refundable once the session has begun.

Classes require a minimum number of enrolled families to run and may be canceled due to low enrollment.

If your child is exhibiting any signs of illness, including fever, runny nose, cough, or other symptoms, please stay home for the health of your family, other families, and our teachers.

Shoes off or grip socks required.
Snacks may be enjoyed outside of the designated class space.
